The International Resuscitation Group (IRG) is the umbrella organisation for IPLS and other upcoming courses

The International Resuscitation Group (IRG) is a voluntary body that aims to improve the early management of acutely ill and injured children and provides paediatric resuscitation skills and knowledge in developing countries through training and education of local healthcare professionals.

IRG is a fully incorporated, not-for-profit organisation founded in 2014. The IRG faculty main office is based in Australia and consists of healthcare professionals from Australia, New Zealand and Iraq.

Its flagship courses, the International Paediatric Life Support Course (IPLS) is now running at five IPLS Centres in teaching hospitals in Iraq. We plan to establish more IPLS centres in other countries.

Exciting next steps include the plan to establish the International Neonatal Life Support Course (INLS). Work has begun on this and IRG hopes to establish this course in 2018.
